I'm in London and we are a family of 4 2 kids ages 11 and 16. We want to attend to a musical, and are doubting between Mary Poppins, The Lion King, We will rock you, the Phantom of the opera, les miserables or any other recommendation... Any opinion?

As for the shows, I would ask your kids, the 16 year old may think Lion King and Mary Poppins is a bit too young for him/her. If that is the case, Phantom is a good show.
Going out:-
St. Paul's Cathedral, the whispering Gallery is amazing and view from the top is great.
London Eye, best in good weather.
Tate Modern and most art galleries are free.
Science Museum, lots there for both ages.
London Dungeon -goryish so boys will probably like this.
One hasn't visited London until you have walked down a pink pavement (roads and pavements around Buckingham Palace are pink) if the Union Jack is flying she isn't in if her standard is flying she is inside somewhere. Whatever you do be prepared to spend a fair bit of money, but do enjoy yourself.

The best musical to suit all the family is Chicago at the Cambrige Theatre Seven Dials Covent Gd excellently performed. Check out the ticket booth in Leicester Square it sells half price tickets on day of performance, both thestre and booth are Leicester Square tube, good luck.
I know that sometimes going out as a family is not that cheap so I thought it was worth mentioning the half price ticket booth in Leicester Square. They sell tickets half price (occasionally it may be 1/4 price off) with a small booking fee. They only sell tickets for that days performance and there are no guarentees that the show you want to see will be up there on any given day. As a guide when I was there on Friday I know on that day Mary Poppins and we will rock you were deffinitely available there. (The rest on your list may have been but I don't recall seeing them)
I loved the show Mary Poppins when I saw it, it is darker than the Julie Andrews movie as it sticks more to the book. Its a high energy show with lots of dancing and all the tunes you'll know from the musical - watch out for the over the rooftops scene if you choose that.
The Lion King is what you would expect from Disney, a spectacular show with great staging and costumes. I went to this last weekend with a friend who loved the dvd but this was the first time she had seen the live musical - she was open mouthed at the production. In fact she came out saying she was expecting to enjoy it but it had blown her expectations by how good it was.
Can't comment personally on we will rock you as I haven't seen it but I have heard lots of positive comments about it being a high energy show.
Phantom is a classic, very different in musical style to the shows already mentioned. The tunes are pretty well known though so I guess you know that - depends what you and the family enjoy.
Les Mis is another classic, there are some fantastic tunes in the show and being based on a classic novel has a plot with substance in.
In contrast if you want light hearted fun I'd also suggest Mamma Mia. The plot certainly would not compair to the likes of Les Mis but if you don't expect than that's ok. Based on the music of Abba the audience is often up and dancing at the end.
I don't know what your families taste are so its hard to predict. As a general rule if kids haven't had much experience of theatre I would recommend a more fun and energetic show rather than something more serious. I personally think thats a good introduction but each kid %26amp; adult has their individual taste so if its a family enjoyable night out try and match as closely to all of you as poss.
Hope that helps
Go see Chicago, it is so funny and your kids and your husband will love it!
Lion King is fantastic. Billy Elliot is also a very good show (oh no maybe not, as they do curse a bit, not good for the kids) Grease is good. But I would stick with Lion King
