What does this translate to? (French)?

One of my (Obviously more cultured) friends is writing a Phantom of the Opera fanfiction, which I have been reading. Most of it is in English, and my oh so meager knowledge of the French language has helped me with the few French words she has included.

Unfortunately I have just run across this...

"Etre de retour a mort, Monsieur Fantome? La police, ne t'a pas encore trouv茅?"

...And I have utterly no idea what it says. Anyone smarter than me willing to translate?

"Etre de retour a mort" isn't correct in french. If your friend has tried to say "Have you been back from the death, Sir Fant?me", the translation could be "Vous 锚tes revenu d'entre les morts, Monsieur Fant?me ?", "entre les morts" meaning "between dead people".

"La police ne t'a pas encore trouv茅 ?" has been correctly translated by other people.

Ask a French Teacher.
Did you die again, Mr Fantome? The police force, did not find you yet.
Being returned to death, Mr. Fantome? The police haven't found you yet? (If he wanted to say "Returned from death" he'd have "Etre de retour de mort."
To be of return died, Mr Fantome? Didn't the police force, find you yet?

Evidently the person asking the question wanted to know if Mr. Fantome has returned. They then asked if the police found him.
Did you return from the dead, Mister Phantom? The police again did not find you?"
are we coming back from death , Mister Phantom? The police have not found us yet ?

I hope that will be fine , MY language is not English , so maybe be a little mistake in translation from my main language to English .

But is more important to Try : )
